Pedestrian struck, killed by semi-truck on US-79 in Todd County

ALLENSVILLE, KY – Investigation continues into the death of a pedestrian in a collision on U.S. 79 in Todd County on Sunday, WBKO reports.

33-year-old Justin Lambert was reportedly struck by a Peterbilt semi-truck after he stepped onto the roadway on U.S. 79.

The driver, Alexander Fritton, was travelling North on U.S. 79 when the wreck occurred. Police say  Fritton slowed the vehicle when he saw Lambert, but was unable to avoid the collision.

Lambert hit the side of the truck several times with a metal chair before being pulled under the rear wheels. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
