BREATHITT COUNTY, KY – Two men, a 27-year-old and a 78-year-old, succumbed to fatal wounds following a head-on collision on KY-15 Thursday.
This crash happened before 6 p.m. when the 27-year-old man — Austin Gibson, a man from Georgetown — crashed his silver Nissan Altima head-on with a black Dodge after going from the northbound lanes into the southbound lanes.
The Dodge driver — Robert Begley from Jackson — was taken to Kentucky River Medical Center, where he later died.
Gibson died from his injuries at the scene.
