     Narrative

PADUCAH, KY – A Tennessee man sustained serious injuries Wednesday in a multi-vehicle collision along the interstate in northeastern Paducah.

Emergency teams responded to a major crash near mile marker 2 on the westbound side of I-24 sometime in the afternoon.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a westbound 2021 Nissan NV200 struck both a 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer and a 2016 Volvo 18-wheeler.

Medics airlifted the 20-year-old driver of the Nissan to an area hospital with critical injuries.

It’s unclear if the other two drivers or any passengers sustained injuries in the collision.

Motorists likely encountered substantial delays along I-24 in Paducah Wednesday afternoon while emergency teams worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
