1 dead in Elkton from car accident

ELKTON, KY- Maggie Andrews, 92, died after her car crossed into the opposite lane and crashed into another car on Monday, KSP News reports. Andrews was driving north on KY-181 in a 2012 Nissan Versa when she drove into the opposite lane and into a 2018 Ford F-250. The driver of the Ford was Rafael Olvera Perez, 37. Andrews died at the scene. It is not known why Andrews’ car drove into the opposite lane. Detective Jacob Stephens is the investigator in charge of the incident. Fatal rollover crash in Logan County suspected DWI

LOGAN COUNTY, KY – A rollover crash killed one man at the Logan and Todd County lines on Saturday night in what police are calling a drinking and driving incident. WKNY reports that the crash took place close to 10:35 p.m. on U.S. 68/80 West when a driver of a westbound Honda travelling at a high rate of speed lost control and swerved completely across traffic before the car began to rollover. Pedestrian struck, killed by semi-truck on US-79 in Todd County

ALLENSVILLE, KY – Investigation continues into the death of a pedestrian in a collision on U.S. 79 in Todd County on Sunday, WBKO reports. 33-year-old Justin Lambert was reportedly struck by a Peterbilt semi-truck after he stepped onto the roadway on U.S. 79. The driver, Alexander Fritton, was travelling North on U.S. 79 when the wreck occurred. Police say  Fritton slowed the vehicle when he saw Lambert, but was unable to avoid the collision.
